I think this is a great book for parents to either read to their children, or have them read. This book allows children to associate their feelings with different types of food. In life children go through different stages where they have feelings, and sometimes they do not know what the feeling is, and how to handle the feeling. Parents sometimes and we do not want to admit it; we cannot help our children when it comes to helping them express their feelings. This is a great book to help your child express the way they feel, and even control their feelings whether they are happy, sad, or scared. I think this is a good Children's Literature book. The only thing I have a problem with is the background knowledge the children will have to have in order to understand the stories that are going on in this book. If you want your child to read this book at bedtime, or during the day you have to make sure they know the story of for example, "The Three Little Pigs," 'Little Red Riding Hood," and other fairy tales. Other than your child not knowing the stories this is a good bedtime story. If your child has read the fairy tales, or know something about them, you can make sure they really know the story because, in the book they have to choose which elements go to which story.I think this is a good Children's Literature book. The only thing I have a problem with is the background knowledge the children will have to have in order to understand the stories that are going on in this book. If you want your child to read this…

I recommend this book to parents to read to their children. This is an amazing book explaining the story of a young Ojibway girl, trying to get enough jingles for her powwow. The book explains in the pictures the story that is being told throughout the book. This is a great piece of literature as well. The book gives you a mini glossary in the back, so you can explain to your children what some of the words mean throughout the book. Since I am not of the same descent I was confused sometimes during the book trying to find out, for example, what a powwow was, but there the dictionary was at the end of the book to let me know what it is. If you want to expose your child or children to a culture that is not their own, this is an amazing book. Every culture has a certain dance and or time where they gather together to show their moves off to their family and friends. This is how the Ojibway descent show’s their moves.I recommend this book to parents to read to their children.
