Absolutely beautiful story, but only to be expected from Garth Nix. He's a god, I swear. A surprisingly good plotline, despite my doubts in the beginning that it would be nothing but boring recountings, especially since it takes place over a very long course of time. Beautifully portrayed theme of what it means to be human. Recommended with all my heart.Absolutely beautiful story, but only to be expected from Garth Nix. He's a god, I swear. I admit the overall plot and pace of the story was better than Firelight. However, like those before me, I admit that Jacinda does start to get on your nerves. Just pick a guy, woman, and leave everybody else out of it! Tamra's plot twist was really the only unpredictable thing in this book, which is starting to turn in to a clichéd drawn out romance. Hopefully book three is better!I admit the overall plot and pace of the story was better than Firelight. However, like those before me, I admit that Jacinda does start to get on your nerves. Great book with a wonderfully creative idea behind it. Perhaps slightly shallow characters, but otherwise, great story, smooth plot and nice lead-in to the next book.

Now, we all knew that Paolini was predictable, but even I had expected a little more of a twist ending than this (most notably Arya being the next rider)... Sad, but not enough to make me cry, and somewhat satisfying, but so utterly uncreative. I do, however, applaud his crafting of Galbatorix's undoing, which certainly lived up to my expectations, but other than that, slow beginning, flop ending. A good enough ending to the series.*Contains Spoilers*

Hands down, no contest, the absoute best book of the series. Not to political or confusing. No muddled, unclear conflict like the earlier two. Surprisingly not boring at all for a book that is nearly entirely comprised of traveling. That and that terrible, heart-wrenching betrayal.... Oh, goodness, now I'm crying again. Just *sniff* read it already.Hands down, no contest, the absoute best book of the series. Not to political or confusing. No muddled, unclear conflict like the earlier two. Fans of Percy Jackson shall not be disappointed... Not bad, not bad at all for a spin off of a spin off of a spin off. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but I was proved wrong. Witty and humorous, as always, Riordan brings us another wonderful book.

I am absolutely in love with this series. Wonderfully creative and BELIEVABLE! City of Ashes was not as good as City of Bones, though. A little slower and less exciting, but wonderful nonetheless. Plus, Jace and Simon are both hilarious.

Just as amazing, if not better, then the Mortal Instruments series, although the characters do mirror each other (Clary- Tessa, Will- Jace, Isabelle- Jessamine). Wonderful, fast-paced plot that is not at all boring! For a while, I thought that there were no good books left in this world. Cassandra Clare has done an amazing job with this book. Not only is it exciting and unbelievably funny, but also believable. Overall, not a bad book. I picked it up because it pertained to dragons, and was a bit unhappy with the romance in it, but that's only because I am not a huge fan of romances. Interesting and creative concept, though, which is made even more intriguing due to the fact that it's set in the modern world.Overall, not a bad book.
