Interesting book, however, it is too lengthy; the chapters are way too long! Many details could have been omitted to avoid repetition. The book wouldn't be as thick as it is otherwise. Good depiction of history, but there were others that were accused of witchcraft. Ms. Schiff could have skipped some personal details that I would not care about, such as the wife beating. Another cause of the hysteria of the girls was not explored by the author. I fell asleep reading this book several times. Her book, Cleopatra was excellent - one to rave about.Interesting book, however, it is too lengthy; the chapters are way too long! Many details could have been omitted to avoid repetition. Great book. Love it. As a Star Wars fan, Bloodline makes me hanker for more Star Wars adventures. I was wondering if Claudia Gray would write the story behind Episode Seven: The Force Awakens (kudos to J.J. Abrams doing one fantastic job of directing). I would like to know more about the characters of the Force Awakens - the hot shot pilot, Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren (son of General, formerly Princess Leia and Han Solo). Why did he follow his grandfather Darth Vader's footstep...and how did obtain his head still in his helmet? Wasn't Darth Vader cremated by Luke Skywalker? Trivia: What does Darth Vader and Han Solo have in common? Both were killed by their sons. Good read - captivating. Hard to put down.Great book. Love it. The first two parts were boring; it was life in a small English town of high society vs. lower class of the poor and gypsies. High teas and criticism of the poor, sexism, and overall social ranking of British society before the Great War (WW I). Read on, then it became interesting with situations such as rape and how to get ride of the victim without causing embarrassment to Celeste's father (and lo and behold, Daniel steps in and offers matrimony!). The best part is Part Four, about The Great War and boy soldiers being used (ie, Snout, aka Richard Sidley) and the uber commanding officers allows it, refusing to let go of the boy soldiers, even to court-martial poor Snout and order his execution for defending his dog. Good thing that stopped. Good summer read, but must enduring the stuffiness of the first two parts. The first two parts were boring; it was life in a small English town of high society vs. lower class of the poor and gypsies. Two things: Read the book before watching the movie, Second always carry duct tape on a voyage to Mars. Astronaut Mark Whatley could have saved a few Martian grown potatoes and market Martian grown potato chips ("you could only eat one") on Earth.

Not worth seeing. Too long, music too loud, drowning out the dialogue and the acting is...meh. The concept, however is good, but scientists usually send probes to find if there is life beyond our solar system. And space rockets with humans would not survive a black hole or wormhole. I was surprised the ship didn't break up. Don't waste your time watching this movie unless you have nothing better to do.Not worth seeing. By reading the description and reviews, "Ruby" seems like a cheesy story. I wouldn't waste my time reading this book (I'd fall asleep with boredom. Forget about taking this book to work!). Go Set a Watchman (by Harper Lee) is much better; a little similar to "Ruby". I'm sure this book would cure insomnia.By reading the description and reviews, "Ruby" seems like a cheesy story. Facinating, incredible! Never knew Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock) was an alcoholic. William Shatner gave an excellent account of Nimoy in the fifty years of their friendship. Excellent read, especially for Star Trek fans (Trekkies).

Amazing movie. Tris is a strong, brave girl, lot more than most men (including her brother Caleb who betrayed her). Robert Galwaithe's (aka JK Rowling) Cormoran Strike detective series are much better than Rowling's bland first adult novel A Casual Vacancy. The series makes me think and conjecture the next move and how Strike will solve the mystery. The reinvention of a modern day Jack the Ripper in Career of Evil is interesting. I wonder if there will be another Cormoran Strike book. But please, Robert Galwaithe, enough of Strike's prosthetic foot and how it hurts him! One reference about it is enough! After seeing Star Wars Episode 7 The Force Awakens in 3D, I'm anxious to find out about the new characters and how they came about. For example, if Rey was abanoned on a desert planet by her parents at age four, how did she learn to scavenge and learn how to fly the Millenium Falcon? How did Kylo Ren obtain the head of Darth Vader (skull in the helmet) since Luke Skywalker cremated him (I thought the entire body was in ashes)? Don't get too close to Kylo Ren during his temper tantrums and a light saber in his hands. The movie was soooo exciting, especially in 3D (mentioned earlier). I wonder if John Grisham ever wrote books other than about lawyers and courtrooms. I didn't care much about this book; most of his books are too structured from the lawyers' perspective, with the exception of Runaway Jury. The ending though, is notable - Sebastian Rudd takes off to the nearest golf course. Perhaps John Grisham should follow suit; retire to some beach somewhere with a Margarita in his hand.I wonder if John Grisham ever wrote books other than about lawyers and courtrooms. Very accurate. Many quotations in the novel were really said, as well as events. Phillippa Gregory did her homework very well. The story is intriguing; gives one pause on how King Henry VIII ruled his kingdom; the way he treated his subjects and his queens. Interesting chapter in English history. Good read.Very accurate. An intriguing book; a sequel of To Kill A Mockingbird. Jean Louise "Scout" Finch grew up like Scarlett O'Hara with her version of "twiddle dee dee" in her attitudes in the deep South. This book should be required reading in schools as a book written in the past teaching race relations in the '50s. Though it is fiction, a lot of views of the characters still exist in the South. Loved Harper Lee's wit. An excellent read. I highly recommend it.An intriguing book; a sequel of To Kill A Mockingbird.
