Fantasy / family friendly This movie is part 1 of a trilogy by Terry Gilliam. Time Bandits represents childhood, which explains why it feels more like a string of random adventures rather than one plot. A boy from a middle class family…

Weird premise, but fun. I like biographies, so disk 2 has interview.

An early product of Terry Gilliam, this showcases his extraordinary imagination. The plot? A bunch of dwarf workers for "The Lord" mess up but find a map of the universe which is full of holes. They use the holes to jump into different…

After all these years, I like this film, but the ending still baffles me. Not sure if Michael and Terry had a table waiting at the pub while writing the last act. Other than that, it's a fun watch.

This movie was entertaining and had some very funny parts in it at times. It is a kids movie at heart. To be honest it started losing me towards the end, but it did pay off! Funny stuff from some of Monty Python here. Give it a chance!…

I'm with the commenter alpaca85, whose remarks you can scroll down to. I recall being underimpressed with Time Bandits when it was new, and I am even less impressed now. While it presents no particular difficulties plotwise--it's a…

On my list of top 10 favourite movies of all time! Yes, some of the scenes are cheesy (anything with Evil in it), but those are totally outweighed by the rest of this hilarious movie... twists and turns galore, idiosyncratic characters,…

Some similar humor to Monty Python (and some of the cast!), I was worried I wouldn't understand it with accents/country and age. But hilarious. Also good (and applicable) satire about technology and imagination. I feel Bill and Ted,…

I rate this film high, not just cause it's a lifetime favorite of mine, but also because I love the idea behind the story. The execution is kinda low-budget, but I still like the bandit characters, John Cleese as Robin Hood, & many scenes…

This movie is very funny and great for children and the young at heart. They don't make them like this anymore, it seems that they don't make good movies anymore, on purpose, because hollywierd is owned and run by the Devil, trying to…

I saw this movie a long long time ago when I was a kid and remember it being a great movie. That was not the case seeing it as an adult. If you are like me, do yourself a favour and don’t try to recreate those memories. This is a kids…

I seem to have a problem with Terry Gilliam. I don't know exactly why, but of all the films I've seen by him, I only really enjoyed Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Since I saw Brazil, my position on that film has constantly flipped back…

A wonderful allegorical adventure tale of fantasy action that may appeal equally to the 'tween child and the still young-at-heart adult. The youngsters may focus on the weird creatures and dwarves while the adults can laugh at the…

Slightly bizarre time travel fantasy. Fans of Terry Gilliam will love it. Everyone else may find it a bit uneven.
