Probably my favourite series of a British show ever. I love the first episode where we see the three main characters as they meet and become a team. Michael Kitchen can convey so much with so little detail in his expression. And…

One of the best British series set in WW2 (for the majority of the series) that maintained a high calibre of writing and acting. The main protagonists were all believable and even ‘looked’ like they belonged in this period, unlike many…

Have enjoyed this series very much. I believe this is one of the best British TV series. It is very informative and enjoyable historical series. I watched all of these episodes at least twice and some 3 times in the past 10 years.

I love the characters, the plots, the scenery, the period character of the films. The development of Christopher Foyle is brilliant.... I can see him think! Innocent young Sam is twice as much as anyone ever bargained for, as a detective,…

Only started this series and am totally enjoying the excellent stories. Even though the time frame is the Second World War it is particularly relevant today given the political upheaval in the world.

Wow! A TV series we totally enjoyed. The stories, complicated and unpredictable, were all interwoven, and in the end - but not until the end - always all wrapped up and the case(s) solved - usually in the way you least expected it, but…

This was an interesting series, but for us was seriously hindered as it did not have subtitles. Most but not all Acorn productions have the subtitles. Otherwise, very interesting premise for homicides in World War II.
