This was a very enjoyable book. Almost more impressive is the fact that this was an accidental book. This was a "letter game" played by two writers, and it turned into this book.

Recommended by a book club friend, I loved this book: witty romance without explicit sex (without sex at all), told in letters (fascinating how the two authors wrote this book), main female characters who are not wimps, but mostly because…

Written as a series of letters between cousins Kate and Cece, magical intrigue mixes with regency shenanigans in a light and fun Austen-like romp. This book originally began as a writing exercise, with the authors Patricia C. Wrede and…

I read this when it first came out. I love that the authors wrote it together without knowing what the other was doing with her plot.

The world of Jane Austen (though not her specific characters) becomes infused with magic. Delightful characters, determined heroines and puzzling heroes. There are two more in the series after this, but the first is the most engaging.

Feather-light and rather entertaining epistolatory novel set in England just after the Napoleonic wars. Moderately but not intrusively Austenesque.

I love the way this was written, not in the usual style but in letters. A die-hard fantasy addict, this was a wonderful read for me >.<

A very interesting sweet little book with the added benefit of being an interesting exercise in writing as it is a set of letters written between two people.

This is a charming tale of magic and intrigue, told through the correspondence of two young cousins, Cecelia and Kate. Soon after Kate leaves for a Season in London, both girls find themselves involved in a mystery concerning an enchanted…
