Discovered this after I started watching the Starz production. Glad to be reading it after seeing it, because the two are very different animals. Like most literature, the book is way more nuanced than the series. If you like a ripping…

A very fun, tongue-in-cheek, suspenseful novel about a British woman who comes to consciousness in a deserted park, who realizes she has no memory, and is surrounded by corpses wearing latex gloves. The novel has a bit of superhero flavor…

I love, love, LOVE this book! It is a great read, one that I pick up at least once a year. Daniel O'Malley is excellent at creating characters, atmosphere, suspense, and action. I recommend it.

"The body you are wearing used to be mine." So reads the letter Myfanwy Thomas discovers in her pocket when she wakes up surrounded by a circle of dead bodies wearing latex gloves. From the first line, this book drew me in with its…

One of the most unique stories I've ever read, O'Malley has written a wildly entertaining tale of the paranormal. Myfawny Thomas' journey from timid amnesiac to powerful Rook is filled with suspense and a very colorful cast of supporting…

This was just a super fun read! The characters are colorful (think of Myfanwy's journal as a character itself!), and the book doesn't take itself too seriously. It's funny (actually funny!), a bit ridiculous, and this might not seem to…

Most excellent book! Could not put it down and once I was finished with it I just had to read Stiletto.

I wasn't able to finish the book. I only made it to 200 pages and so. The setting is interesting with this mysterious superpower cope agency. That the main character had amenasia but still able to follow back to her "normal" life is quite…

At first I wasn't sure I was going to like this since I generally like hard SF much better than fantasy but the way this book uses the main character's total amnesia is so amazingly original, funny and at times heartbreaking meant that the…

Complete memory loss has never been more fun. Myfanwy Thomas wakes up in a park surrounded by dead bodies and no idea of who she is or what happened. Luckily she has letters from her former self to guide her as she tries to uncover who…

I am not usually a fan of conspiracy theory stories, I really liked this story. I loved the slow building of Myfanwy's knowledge of her life & memory. A remarkable story, unlike anything I've read before. The characters were well filled…

I really enjoyed this book. Myfanwy Thomas (pronounced as Miffany, like Tiffany) is a supernatural secret agent working for a classified organization that deals with the abnormal, supernatural, and the paranormal. One day, she…

This book was a lot of fun to read. It took a few chapters for it to pick up but once you begin to understand this world, you will wish you were a part of it.

My friend gave me this book after she bought it on a whim for herself (she had to buy me my own copy because she couldn't part with hers). This book is so not what I normally read and I absolutely loved it! I can't wait for the sequel, due…

This fantasy book was the best fantasy I’ve read since Harry Potter. It’s the kind of book that makes you sad because it ends. It’s the kind of book that keeps you up reading at night. The top secret agency is the type of place I could see…

Borrowed this one but handed it to Mrs Dim to read. She said it wasn't too bad, but it seemed odd that the main character didn't know how to pronounce "Myfanwy", even though it was her name.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The mysterious circumstances that Myfanway finds herself in turns out to be a good way to introduce the strange organization known as Chequy and all those that work there, without giving it all away in the…
