This one was kind of a slow starter for me but the reward of a completely surprise ending was my reward for sticking with it. Not going to spoil it but hang in there until the end, you won't be sorry.

Loved this book. It kept me guessing and intrigued. The first chapter takes too long to get to the dramatic start of the story but after that, I was hooked.

Did not finish. Started off with promise but just didn't grip me and I gave up probably a third of the way into it.

This book was hard to read, confusing. After part 1 , I stopped reading. It was disappointing from an author with a degree in English. I had read The Forgotten Garden and enjoyed it.

To write a book involving flashbacks is difficult. To write a great book involving flashbacks is nearly impossible but, Kate Morton nailed it. I enjoyed the storyline and the ending. I did have to re-read part of it to see if the clues…

My first Kate Morton book. What a beautiful storyteller she is, every detail is important. I will be thinking about these characters long after the book has ended.

This was a good book. It was a great page-turner. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that there is an overlap between what Laurel learns and reveals about her mother and the story of Dorothy actually living that life. It gets…
