I am an Maeve Binchy fan but I not consider this one of her best books. Many characters. Some repeated information. Interesting characters never the less.

I love Maeve Benchy’s writing. She tells a good story about interesting people. The reason for the low rating is there are too many people in this story, too in-depth about all their lives. I can’t find an interest in all of them.

This book was picked for my book club. I had read one Maeve Binchy book before and found it totally boring. This one wasn't much better. If it hadn't been for book club, I wouldn't have finished it. There were way too many characters and I…

Very sweet - kind of like a little Irish folk tale where everyone (almost everyone!; some people are irredeemable) ends up happy with sensible resolutions to their various issues, thanks to one character who runs a little hotel on the…

Though the characters have some problems in their past, all comes together too neatly in the end to be believable. Mildly entertaining.

Though I normally like her books, this became too boring to continue.

All the characters spring to life on the page, and all the stories are engaging. So sad that it's Binchy's last novel.

I have loved this writer for a long time and will miss her. Lovely stories and they leave one feeling good, kind of like high tea with scones, cream and jam!

Typical Binchy novel, written around a central local with different characters entering the picture. I've always found her novels very easy reading and it's sad that we won't be able to pick up another of her novels and getting a quick…

LOVED it. A wonderful swan song, but so sad it is her last. It seemed obvious she was launching a new series with this one. Having read (and loved) all of the ones in her earlier series (Scarlet Feather, etc.), I would have LOVED to…

As a big Binchy fan, I was very sad that this was her last book. I haven't enjoyed all of her books, but this one was good. I really loved it. A quick, easy read, easy to follow, lovable but flawed characters. Made me want to go there!

Nice Story, sad to know it is her last book.

My first Binchy book. I loved it! Each character was unique and had a stimulating if not every day story that connected me into their lives. I will definitely read another Maeve Binchy novel

It's a good quick read, and if you have liked Binchy's work in the past, you should like this one as well. I thought the stories within the story worked well. Some of the stories revolve around the people who live in the area, while others…

I'm totally amazed how many people enjoyed this book. I had to force myself to keep reading and kept hoping the next section would prove more interesting. It didn't. I found it a total waste of time.

The visitors to a new guesthouse on Ireland’s Western coast, get a healing vacation from their hosts. Alas, Binchy’s last book.

This book was well worth the wait, even if it was weeks and weeks. As always, her stories are interesting and engaging with characters that you feel for and want to know more about. I also found a smaller book by her in paperback, that…

really liked this last book by Ms. Binchy. the stories within the story were interesting, some better than others. the only character in the book I wanted to know more of was Rigger's mother. I wanted her to come and stay week at the…

Pretty matter-of-fact story of an Irish woman who buys an old house in the West of Ireland and converts it to an inn. Stories of the employees and the first visitors are told in vignettes. As usual in Binchy's later works especially,…

I'm still waiting to read this one, but have loved many of her books. She will be missed. Although not romance, Tana French is another wonderful Irish writer. She writes a good psychological suspense/mystery. If you're looking for…

I truly enjoy Ms. Binchy's writing, she is very insightful about human nature. There are also teachable moments in most, if not all of her novels.

Another great read from Maeve Binchy. Her characters are always so full and complex and likable even when they are not so much. I will miss reading new stories from her. Love you, Maeve! Rest in peace.
