Ooooookay, wow. That feeling when you start a new prolific series and have so much to look forward to. 🤩 I loved this. Sci-fi Game of Thrones, Hunger Games in space, all of these lofty comparisons and literally all the good things you’ve…

I read this series twice!!! I loved it so much I bought the collection. Enough said, it’s Hunger Games in space but 10* better!!!

I loved this book! Much of it came across like a cross between a game of Capture the Flag and Lord of the Flies with a dash of Hunger Games thrown in. It begins with life on Mars by a group of underground terraformers called Reds who…

Phenomenal.

Extremely good novel and probably the best of the series - I give it a 4.5 instead of a 5, solely because it's so good that it makes books 4&5 hard to get through because the first arc is so good it raises your hopes too high.

This was a fun, interesting and entertaining read. The academy arc really solidified the hunger games feel of this book. However, just because Darrow our MC is 16 when this starts doesn’t make this book YA. The rage described, and the…

Red Rising instantly had me hooked! It parallels The Hunger Games trilogy and is worth reading the entire series. My only complaint- I don’t love how the author describes his (very few) female characters.

A good dystopian Science Fiction Novel. Likable main character. Interesting ideas about how a stratified society effects the different levels of that society.

This one came highly recommended by so many, and the same crowd swore up and down that it's definitely not YA. I beg to differ. Maybe it's not YA in terms of its gratuitously descriptive violence, but it definitely is YA in terms of its…

It’s accepted by pretty much all fans that the first Red Rising book is the series still finding its footing. The setup is conceptually fantastic, but Pierce Brown is still honing his prose here, and the repetition, the often stilted…

Solid, entertaining dystopian SF, especially for a first book. I enjoyed it well enough that I will probably take out the second book. First part of the book is most interesting, with good world building, especially of the Red's…

Set far in the future, people are separated by classes of colors, and the Red are required to harvest different minerals on Mars and serve the upper classes, the highest of which being Golds. Our protagonist Darrow realizes that all he’s…

Darrow, Servo, Pax, oh where to start. Martyrdom, sci fi, world building, consistent fast paced action scenes, if any of these sound good to you this may be a worthy read for you. To me this felt like Hunger games meets Warhammer 40k if…

Red Rising follows a futuristic world where humanity has advanced into an abusive dystopian caste system that oppresses and abuses those who are not at the top. Darrow, a Mars-born, “Red” class miner, (the lowest Class), finds an…

This was a fun read. Very much YA action, non-stop action, grabs you from page 2 and pulls you along to the last page.

The priorities of multilayers of loyalties are violently sorted out in a dystopia of power and corruption. Similar to The Hunger Games but more emotionally driven, and packed with heartless villains and heart-full heroes. The plot…
