We read these as bedtime stories and the kids looked forward to these stories as a first choice of many books. Nice that they are women focused stories.

I always appreciate stories of strong women. They are folktales, so they can be a little scary and gory. In my mind two stories do not have "perfect" morals, but I found them enjoyable.
