From Santa Rosa, California to Seattle is more than 1000 miles. Along the way there are mountain passes, heavy winds and harsh weather to contend with. Imagine you're going to take that journey - by bike. And now imagine the year is 1909, and much of the way is rough mountain track or corduroy roads through wild and uninhabited country. That's exactly what Ray and his friend Vic do, when they decide to take a trip, on bicycle, up the Northwest coast to attend the Seattle exposition.
