A quirky, magical tale of many awesome but odd events that keep you wanting more. I am 14 and I still enjoy it!

I loved this book when I was a child and I am thrilled that my children still loved this book today. It is just as funny, just as magical and the characters are just as amusing as when it was first written. It's hard to pick a favourite part, but the cat trying to talk would definitely be one of them. I'm so glad this book is still around. My boys, aged 9 and 11, really enjoyed it.

It's really good. My favorite part was when they wished their mother was a bare-backed horse rider at the circus. (from Caroline, age 8)
