This is a very good book. I recommend that all parents, not only those with bilingual children, read this book to their children. It is easy to decipher what the Spanish parts of the books are trying to say, it is saying the same thing that the English sections are saying and when it doesn't, the translations are available. This book shows that this little girl has a valued appreciation to her culture and both similar, but very different sides of her family. This book could teach students about this appreciative value that we all must withhold in order to appreciate those who are different from us. It also shows us that we may have different types of people in our own families and we are still fully capable of effectively interacting with all types of our relatives.
