Nonsense, meaningless, but enjoyable. Without any vulgar language or porn, which contemporary videos seem to think essential.

Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck have rarely been better and never funnier. Neither would have more successful screen chemistry. Fonda is heir to a fortune and Stanwyck is a con artist that he can't help tripping over. The movie has some of Sturges best dialogue and several ingenious twists. One of the best romantic comedies of all time.

Barbara Stanwyck is amazing in this film - a virtuoso performance. Some great plot twists, and an excellent closing line.

You see Hopsi, you don't know very much about girls. The best ones aren't as good as you think they are, and the bad ones aren't as bad. Not nearly as bad.
