In place of their presumed-dead seventh son, the ""Magykally""-inclined Heap family raises a changeling Princess, a decision that culminates in an epic flight from various villains.

Magyk, the first book in the Septimus Heap series, is a wonderful book filled with magic and adventure. Septimus Heap and his friends go on a life-changing adventure, battling “Darke Magyk” and protecting their kingdom. They discover their hidden talents and who they really are. Angie Sage’s characters are very realistic and even though they live in a very different world than we do there are some parts where I can totally relate to them. I love how she weaves her unique characters stories together to form a story like no other.

I love magic! This is a wonderful series. Great story for kids ages 8 & up. (Adults may well enjoy the series, too!) Too much fun to contain in one book, Angie Sage created a magykal. masterpiece of a story!

This is my absolute favourite series ever! It's full of magyk and has amazing characters and is completely addicting! There are no words to do this series justice. Magyk is the first in the Septimus Heap series and had me hooked on page one. If you like magic, wizards and spells, you would definitely love this book!

great series. I read it awhile ago and I am still hoping for an 8th book to come out

This series is amazing; I was in love when I was younger! It's a bit big, but worth the time put into it, and great if you enjoy long series.

Predictable, yet thoroughly engaging tale of good magic versus dark magic.

I am on book 6. Most adictve series yet!

Get this one and not the other copy from the library. It has the Darke Toad (hilarious!) and a sneek peek at Fyre (can't take the wait!)
