From Library Staff

A brilliantly lit night and gentle text deliver the magic that nature can bring: solemn, magical, graceful. The mood is gentle but realistic, with an undercurrent of expectation and excitement.

A poetic story of a winter-wrapped little girl and her father's owling adventure. The gentle shivery excitement that accompany the twosome are a great gateway into a love of nature. Ages 2-8.

Very lovely illustrations and a nice story to go with it.

Oh, to have more long-text books again like those of 3 decades ago! Loved this story, as a birder myself. Jane captures the moment of seeing an owl and the beauty and energy of nature on a snowy winter's night. Classic.
