If you put the DVD in the Japanese Language format and add the English Subtitles, you are able to understand the dialogue if you're studying Japanese. Great film by the Anime master Hayao Miyazaki.

This is the 2010 DISNEY version :( I went on Amazon to buy the 2006. Leave it to Disney to absolutely ruin a priceless film. Why did they have to redub??? What was wrong with Miyazaki's version??

Delightful animated story of two little Japanese girls who move to the country with their father, while their mother recuperates in the hospital. Together they meet Totoro and its magic cat bus! Excellent animation.

Love this film. One of the best Studio Ghibli movies I have ever watched~

This is perhaps my all-time favorite children's movie. The magic that it expresses is wonderful. The art is lush, the story is kind, there's no evil character... they broke the mold on this one....

Great kids movie. Good animation. Nice plot. Funny characters. I really enjoyed it and I wish totoro was my neighbor.

Sexual Content: I don't know if you would count this, but a father and daughters are shown taking a bath together. It's not meant to be sexual, but they are naked (you don't see anything private, and it's not graphic; the more substantial nudity is covered with soap bubbles, etc.).
