A bit of a slow starter but almost had me in tears near the end. A definite heart string puller!
Sometimes we are asked to be more than what we think we can be. This book shows how one boy rose to that challenge in the absence of his older brothers. The novel also includes a good description of ranch life.
Fast reading, fun to read, very human, a 12-year-old boy but fine reading for adults, too. A surprise ending.
