This book is perfection. I can't wait for the movie to come out I hope its as touching as the book and the director doesn't change too much about it!!!

I tried reading this book. It was so horribly sad and the ending is obvious, unless you are Shakespeare you can't write a book where the main character dies. I truly did not enjoy what I read of this book.

this book was so boring like if there was a definition for boring this book would be it. I could not get past the middle of the book no matter how much i tried. i read the last page just to know if i would be right and I was obviously she wakes up the movie looks better than the book. I'm sorry for those who actually enjoyed the book but this is just my opinion i hated that book.Honest i can't even rate this book it gets a big fat 0

This book made me laugh, cry and made me feel utter bliss. It sends you on an emotional rollercoaster that you won't want to get off of. You go with Mia while she figures things out and makes the decision that will decide the rest of her life. A truly unique book.

I loved this book! It's sort of a deep, sad, emotional story but that's why i loved it! It was soo addicting!! It kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next and how things were going to work out. You should definitely read this book!

This is one of my all-time favorite books. I have probably read it over 10 times! It's a beautifully written book.

"Gifted cellist Mia awaits the verdict on her Juilliard audition and is brooding about the ways that leaving Oregon to pursue a career in music would complicate her life (for one, she'd be leaving her rocker boyfriend, Adam, behind). Then, when a peaceful drive with her family ends in a tragic accident, Mia is rushed to the hospital, comatose, and all of the choices she might make are distilled into one: whether to live or die. Told from Mia's perspective (while she is unconscious), this heartbreakingly beautiful story has all the drama and poignancy of The Fault in Our Stars, and will more than satisfy fans of full-blooded characters and masterful writing." I read this book because its going to be a movie. To my surprise it was a drag out process for me. I'm not sure if its because I'm an adult reading a teen book but she just took way.... To long to figure out her outcome. Sometimes I just wanted to scream at the book lol.

In a single moment, everything changes. Seventeen-year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall riding along the snow-wet Oregon road with her family. Then, in a blink, she finds herself watching as her own damaged body is taken from the wreck...

A sophisticated, layered, and heart-achingly beautiful story about the power of family and friends, the choices we all make, and the ultimate choice Mia commands.

What if you had everything?
A gorgeous boyfriend who was madly in love with you?
Quirky hip parents who got you?
A musical talent that could take you anywhere?
What if your biggest problem in life was choosing which paths to take ?
Follow your first love-music- to New York City?
Or stay with your boyfriend , friends , and family?
What if one day you went for a drive . . .
And in an instant everything changed?
What if suddenly all the other choices were gone?
Except for one - the one that truly ever mattered ?
What would you do?
Stay . . .
If I Stay . . . .
If Mia Stays . . .

“If you stay, I'll do whatever you want. I'll quit the band, go with you to New York. But if you need me to go away, I'll do that, too. I was talking to Liz and she said maybe coming back to your old life would be too painful, that maybe it'd be easier for you to erase us. And that would suck, but I'd do it. I can lose you like that if I don't lose you today. I'll let you go. If you stay.”
