At the same time, Oher's presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, Mike faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome - as both a football player and student. Mike works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle. Based on the true life story of NFL first-round draft pick Michael Oher.

Talk about blind spots. This is pure capitalist filth, designed to make the rich bitch and her castrated husband feel good about themselves. Besides that, and more disturbing, it perpetuates the societal trend that colleges keep spending inordinate amounts of money on dunces with athletic prowess, allowing alumni and other wannabes to entertain themselves, playing surrogate jock and probably gambling on the winner, too. Meanwhile, America experiences an enormous and exponentially growing brain drain of talent.
Best movie I have seen in a very long time. I might even buy this one as I do think I could watch it over and over again
awsome move. how anyone could make bad comments is beside me
This is a movie about how important family is to a person. It has similarities to the movie “Antwone Fisher,” except Antwone found his “good” family after finding his biological mother. Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for lead actress.
I saw the movie and I had liked it this is based on a true story this isnot for children to watch
great movie
Really, really, really, great movie!!!
One of the best movies i have seen in years... a very touching TRUE story of the love a human being can have for another person regardless of skin colour, difference in status or culture.... Just human beings helping each other out as God intended for us to do!! If only the world could see this and the ignorant open their eyes to what they are doing by hating and discriminating those that are different from themselves.. love love love it!! Definitely a tear-jerker!!
An excellent film which is both heart-warning and wretching. Kudos to the Touhys'! That mom is some powerful woman. I believe that Oher is still playing pro-ball which I also belive means his career in football is longer then most players.
