The book of "Reverso" poetry is pure genius. You read the poem, and then the poem is reversed, line by line, creating a whole new and perfect story. This is the book for people who say they don't like poetry.

Poet Marilyn Singer has invented a form of poetry that she calls "Reverso" where she writes a poem, and then rewrites, placing the lines in reverse order, changing only the punctuation. These poems are twinned to tell two sides of the same story. In Mirror Mirror, Singer has turned her attention to fairy tales. She tells Cinderella from the point of view of Cinderella and the stepsisters, using essentially the same words. What results is a book full of unique poems that show us both sides of the same story, beautifully illustrated by Josee Massee. This books is a must for Junior and Intermediate teachers looking for a new way to introduce their students to poetry.
