Jace’s abusive father throws him out of the house and with nowhere else to go he runs to his estranged brother’s house, jeopardizing his brother’s carefully-established new life. Thrown together, they struggle with each other and with the past and future. Well-written, a gritty but hopeful story. Warning: for the sensitive, there is a pretty heartwrenching scene of abuse about midway through the book. I could barely get through it. You’ll have to decide if the rest of the book is worth it for yourself.

Such an amazing book. I found it really eye opening and touching, in a strange sort of way. I recommend it to anyone :)

2012-2013 Gateway nominee--of the ones that I have read so far this is the best.

I think this is a great book. I must warn you though there is swearing and there are violent parts. But the author's style was fantastic and consistent through out the book. I would recommend this book to mainly teens, that want a short read.

This book reminds me why I love books about brothers. Jace and Christian are complex, flawed, and real. A gorgeous story with some heavy themes but ultimately, Split is worth every second and stays with the reader long after the last page.

Violence: Jace's father abuses Jace's brother and mom. No descriptive scenes, maybe just one or two.
