Add a CommentA very sweet book about a zookeeper and the animals who love him.
Illustrations were incredible and reminded me of some of the classic picture books from the 50s and 60s in their style.
So cute how the animals take care of Amos as he has done for them
Delightful book.
The 2011 Caldecott winner, a sweet and simple story of Amos McGee, the zookeeper whose animals are wonderful friends. Erin Stead's beautiful, delicate illustrations bring this tender tale to life. Highly recommended.
Erin E. Stead, a first-time illustrator, won the 2011 Caldecott Medal for A Sick Day for Amos McGee.
A sweet story with lovely illustrations.
