Mystery thriller about a prosecutor working closely with the special crimes unit - a unit investigating among other things, sexual assualt - investigating a brutal murder of one her friends: an actress. The case eventually leads to the implication of her boyfriend and her breakup with him. The novel was easy to read but a little bit choppy, using thoughts in paragraphs among actual conversations to convey feelings. It was also a little too pendantic at the end trying to explain the deductions involved leading colleagues of her to the suspect. A very average book and somewhat disappointing.

I thought this book was unoriginal and poorly written. The rave reviews from other authors on the back cover of the book made me wonder if they had read the same one I did
