This sequel to Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan sucks you in from the first sentence and doesn't let you go until the last word is read; only to leave you gasping for breath and the next book. The breathtaking streets of Constantinople and strange characters you will meet there will have you in stitches with their dry, wity, banter.

I whole heartedly recommend this book to anyone with a love of adventure and humer. I hope you have plenty of time before bed or you will be up rather late because you will not be able to put it down though. Enjoy!

dang if this is as good as the first book i cant wait to read

This was an amazing book! I really liked "Leviathan", but I liked "Behemoth even better. I really got attached to the characters. I like this book better because of the fast plot line, so the book moves faster. Also, the tension between all the characters is great. All these things combined, and more, kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. I also like the alternate history Scott Westerfeld put into this book, and some of the history parts are true, such as the locals of the city do call Constantinople "Istanbul". I highly recommend this book!

Possibly my favorite book of all time. : ) Adventure, fabricated beasties, a girl disguised as a boy- what more could you want?

Doesn't quite live up to the first book but it is really close. Really makes you hate you're totally normal and bland life actually. Really, who wouldn't like a robot or fabricated animals?

A great sequel to Leviathan! The first book was a little better considering the fact that it took me a little longer to get into it. I can't wait to read Goliath!

The only sound from the birdcage was Bovril's maniacal laughter.
