Outstanding, and far, far superior to the cheesy and skeazy American/Brit version (Noomie Rapace, and the actor playing opposite her, can act, for gosh sakes!).

This version is superior to the Hollywood version. No changes in the plot. Hollywood's version changes the ending thus changing story.

The remake was a very good film and this is somewhat better. The plot is very good based on the now classic genre of: the tangled tale of contemporary researchers trying to solve a deep dark mystery (usually a crime) and (usually) from the past (Possession, The Real Jack the Ripper, etc come to mind but also films like 3rd Man, or Pelican Brief). Well done as it is, the film relies on the Girl for its unique impact and Noomi Rapace delivers on it.

Suspenseful, ugly, story line(s) with an awe inspiring heroine.

Definitely better than the American remake.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this trilogy. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I watched it with sub-titles because I preferred the soft-spoken voices of the actors (even though I couldn't understand what they were saying) to the grating dubbed english voices!
Made me sad when I discovered that the author had passed away before he knew the success of his stories.

Love this film. It was different from anything I had ever seen. Noomi Rapace was amazing. Didn't like or see the purpose of the English re-make.

What an AWESOME movie!! I read the first book after I watched the movie and realized they left out quite a bit in the movie, but granted, it's very well done. I mean the movie is already 3 hours along, unless they wanted to make it 5 hours or 2 parts, it would have been nearly impossible to include everything. GREAT JOB, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was tremendous (although certainly the rape scene was difficult to view, and I admit to closing my eyes) and truly outshone the poorly written and acted American/British version. Noomie Raplace can act, and far superior to the actress that played in the English language version, I'm sad to say.
