There are many books out there that feature the illustrious Banksy's work. The thing that stands out with this one is that the text is written in his own words. A must read for any fan. Start with this one if you haven't seen much of his work. He is very thought-provoking.

I really enjoyed this book. I appreciate the work that some of the local street artists do, but Banksy is something else. I find his work less about self-promotion and more about getting people to reflect and think about the things they so blindly follow. I have always been unsure on whether street art was really art or vandalism, until I read this: "You owe the companies nothing. You especially don't owe them any courtesy. They have re-arranged the world to put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission, don't even start asking for theirs." The commentary in this book by Banksy is really what gives it the five stars. I picked up this book expecting to be entertained by pretty pictures, and ended up reflecting on the state of the world.
