The Running Dream: Amazing book! The story really touched my heart. I can never believe that happening to me. Jessica was riding the bus and the bus crashed. It left a person that Jessica knew dead and herself injured. She loved to run but now couldn't. Luckily, she got a prosthetic leg. This book tells the story of how Jessica overcame the fact that she couldn't run and how she lived happily ever after.

As a runner, I related very deeply to the main character in this story. The book is about a fantastic runner (a 55 second 400 is AMAZING) who loses a leg in an accident. The story about her recovery and the things she learns about life and herself through it is very touching and inspiring. I definitely teared up a few times! greta read for anyone, but especially runners.

I would definitely reccomend this book to all runners! It is an inspiring story, and is a quick read.

This was a really good, light-hearted book. I was a little skeptical at first, but it kept my attention and I really felt like I was living in the book. I would definately suggest this.

Wendelin Van Draanen's writing is breathtaking. She has a God-given talent for the way she uses words. This book was simply BEYOND words that i could validly express. So beautiful and powerful. The entire book had SUCH a consistent pull for its readers, with thought provoking statements and a call for an emotional response. Through the eyes of an amputee, we are enlightened with this strong girl's constant battle for people to see past the false pretenses of a person with a disability. So encouraging! I exceedingly recommend to anyone and everyone who is willing to open their hearts to a heartfelt, perspective-changing book like this one!

The Running Dream is an amazing true story and it reminds me so much of Oscar Pistorious in the 2012 Olympics. This is a book any track lover should read.
