Opinion

From Library Staff

Oh, every woman in Midwich is pregnant. How very nice.

The children of Midwich are all blond, golden-eyed, grow up too fast, and were all conceived on a night when a silver object appeared and the Midwich inhabitants fell unconscious. Like Finney's The Body Snatchers, speaks to the fear of the other in our midst.

A well built story from beginning to end. Classic science fiction.

This book is the basis for the film "Village Of The Damned".

Intriguing, relevant; written in an enjoyable style. On the 1001 Books Must Read Before You Die list.
