Mr. Junger's account of this storm is so vivid; the movie is pale in comparison. My appreciation of the heroic job the Coast Guard does in rescuing people increased dramatically after reading it. I also have a greater appreciation of the people who go to sea in order to provide us with tasty seafood.

Seeing the movie made me want to read this book about a group of sword fisherman who get caught in a once-in-a-lifetime storm. The movie was good but I enjoyed the book more.
