Trouble follows Tally, but she is ever challenging authority, whether they know it or not. Tally has made a decision and she is now a pretty, her life with her new friends is awesome. Even hanging out with Peris. But who is this Zane character? Will she remember her decision? Totally didn't see where the story was going, enjoyed the adventure...look forward to the next installment. Enjoyable YA series.

The adventure continues from Uglies and remains just as interesting and thrilling as the first installment. The plot becomes slightly thicker and the stakes become slightly higher, a worthy and enjoyable sequel that I tore through in one day. I quite like the subtle statement that teenagers have no purpose, so they’re kept busy partying until they grow old enough to be useful to society.

The best out of the three, with all the action and love interests and what not.

I liked the beginning and the end. I was not a big fan of the middle :( I wanted to like this book but sadly, I was disappointed. I'm still debating on reading specials...

This was a good follow up to uglies. It gets better as it goes along.

2nd in Scott Westerfield's series on a dystopian society from a teenager character's point of view. Wording/language is type you might expect when teenagers are the audience, but I enjoyed it. Have read all the books in the series (4)

I didn't read Uglies so, I was a little confused, but after a little while I began to see an actual plot line. At first all the characters I found annoying and then I started to like Tally and Zane... But the whole thing with Shay was really weird. First she was cutting herself and then she got razor sharp teeth and a bunch of moving tattoos.... Weird.

Pretties picks up where Uglies left off. Tally has been turned pretty and dull-witted. Tally loves the pretty life of partying, drinking, and doing whatever she wants. She has a lot of fun with it, until one day at a costume party, she sees someone in a specials costume, and she starts feeling like something's not right with her world. Together with Zane, another pretty, Tally must track down the clue to her past as an ugly. When she does though, the repercussions of her choices afterward will continue long into the book. As Tally remembers the truth, she tries to figure out a way to help the other pretties and to save herself and Zane as well.
