A complex story set in an exclusive boys' boarding school in recently "liberated" Zimbabwe. There is more bullying and stereotyping within the "white" tribe than racism between the 'white' and 'black' tribes of newly admitted native students. This story boils with testosterone. This dark tale reads much like William Golding's dystopian "Lord of the Flies". There is no peaceful reconciliation of issues between races in this novel.
