Story in which an ordinary man stumbles upon a pill which greatly increases his intelligence and talents. His first thought is to amass as much money as possible, murdering several people who get in his way. Happy, cheerful ending.

I thought this thriller was outstanding. Clever story, good actors, vibrant cinema. Highly recommended. Five stars.

Not for younger kids! Main character is suspected of murdering a woman he had sex with, a character is blinded, and two other characters are murdered in a public park.

While the movie is good, it is based upon the Alan Glynn's excellent book, retitled from "Dark Fields" to match the move, "Limitless" - - Glynn is the master of Emerald Noir (Irish mysteries) and his other books are quite good also.

Well if life could change with magic pill it will be fantastic. Great action movie. Really enjoyed it.

Bradley Cooper plays a man who tries a new drug that improves his ability to learn way faster than normal people. He uses it to advance himself, but not everything is fine and dandy. Perhaps this is practice for his more serious role in "Silver Linings Playbook," as a man with a bipolar disorder. In "Limitless" he often gets into some bad spaces where his thinking also is disordered. I really don't remember much about his acting ability in "Hangover," but somebody that drinks too much also is somewhat disordered.

Great concept... what would you do with a pill that allowed you to use 100% of your brain? It makes for an entertaining watch... but is occasionally bogged down by flat acting and gimmicky special effects.

This one started off great - quick pace... interesting character development...
Somewhere along the way the story felt 'thick'... heavy... overloaded. The ending seemed lacking, (the alternate as well).
That said, Bradley Cooper was very well suited for this role, and agreed, De Niro was not.

It was a great movie. I knew that DeNiro's character was up to something but I thought the end would be bigger. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

WARNING: Those of you who easily get motion sick, there is some cinematography that may make you queasy.

A down and out writer runs into an old acquaintance who, feeling sorry for him, gives him a pill that grants access to 100% of the brain instead of the 20% most of us are limited to. Realizing he can make large sums of money before the drug’s potent effects wear off, addiction quickly takes hold. Soon alarming side effects begin to appear, as do thugs out to kill him and his life sustaining supply starts to dwindle. Not bad; keeps your interest to the end.
