Opinion

From Library Staff

First published in 1981 for young readers, this title and it's sequels have been on the challenged list for years as "unsuited for age group, violence." The stories are both traditional and original ghost stories, tales of weird happenings, witches, and graveyards.

Stories of ghosts and witches, "jump" stories, scary songs, and modern-day scary stories.

Spooky tales of eerie horror and dark revenge that will make you jump with fright. RL 4.1 640L

Alvin Schwartz collects the greatest scary stories ever! If you are looking for a good Halloween jump tale to tell the kids, or if you are a kid looking for a good scare- THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU! Fun for ages 8 and up (adults- you'll have a fun trip down memory and maybe even share some of your favorites with the kiddos!)I can't imagine childhood without these tales!
