I was very curious when I started and it held my interest so much that I finished in 1 day. If 50 Shades of Grey was midly interesting than this will blow you away. Happy reading!

Unrealistic, repetitive sex, written by a woman, with a male perspective.

one of my all time favorite books and series, but definitely not for everyone!! i read these books very young, an fell in love with the honesty in them. definitely S&M based and if that bothers you then i would really suggest that you not read these books. It is intense, and graphic in the traditional Anne Rice style. and i do mean GRAPHIC. but if you're open to it, it can be a very intense and eye-opening read, and will definitely make you rethink how you evaluate other people's relationships and the importance of mutual desires or you could just read it and go for the ride :)

Not a great book. I thought it would be on the order of Shades of Gray but it was definitely not. I was very disappointed and thought the part I did read was degrading to women. I didn't even want to finish it. Don't recommend this one.

I was really excited to read this and now I'm wondering why I even stuck with it. I didn't enjoy this book at all! The things that were done to the people in the book were appalling and I don't think I will be reading the other 2 books of this trilogy. I don't think I will be reading any more Anne Rice for that matter. I haven't been impressed by her work.
