Opinion

From Library Staff

The Bride wakens from a four-year coma. The child she carried in her womb is gone. Now she must wreak vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her - a team she was once part of. Striking, violent and action-packed, Quentin Tarantino knows just how revenge is a dish best served cold.

Kill Bill Volume 1 is an entertaining revenge movie with samurai swords and martial arts as the weapons of choice. Uma Thurman plays the Bride and mother to be. She is also a victim of an assasination attempt by her former boss and associates. After waking from a four year coma, the Bride makes a list of those she plans to kill. With sword in hand the non-stop martial arts action begins. The movie ends before her task is done, to be continued in Kill Bill Volume 2.

Great movie. Found it kind of cheesy but I still enjoyed it. Gogo Yubari was ace.

A pretty cool movie, but not too much of a story. More about the action and violence.
