Peter Bergen is a director of the New America Foundation, partially funded by Peter G. Peterson (whose Blackstone Group was the mortgage owner of record for the WTC's Building #7, and brokered the sale of the WTC, and was later the manager of the 9/11 captive insurance fund of $1 billion) and his Peterson Foundation, the remaining funding from the other oil people, Pew Charitable Trusts. Odd how the "lone gunman" whether it is Lee Oswald, or Osama bin Laden, is killed so no court trial can ever be held? Then, most conviently, case closed with their deaths! But how did OBL know of the blind radar zones, which those four airliners flew into before shutting off their flight transponders (IFF)? So many unanswered questions, and yet we are supposed to believe . . . .

Like the blurbs say, Manhunt reads like a thriller. Peter Bergen is the world's expert on Al Qaeda and this is his third New York best seller on the subject. The Seal Team practiced the strike on a full-sized replica of the bin Laden compound many times and they had numerous Plan B's, C's for everything imaginable that could have gone wrong (like the helicopter that crashed on the compound wall).
