This movie isn't good at all. While Queen Latifah shines as usual, Dolly Parton and everyone else falls flat

Disappointing. I like Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah but this wasn't a good movie. Very predictable plot, even the music wasn't that great.

A real feel good movie. It was well cast. Dolly Parton is really talented & so is Queen Latifah. I am on the fence when it comes to using secular music to cross over to Christian music. It takes some getting used to, especially if one is raised on traditional values. Nevertheless, the movie is uplifting & funny.

Entertaining. Good music towards the end. Plot was a bit run of the mill. Keke Palmer had a nice performance.

If you want to make a "religious" movie, than this is how you do it. Not too much plot- and not too much preach'in. Great vocals from all, and a feel good ending.

What a uplifting and fun movie to watch. Loved every minute of this movie.

Uplifting movie. I loved how they made the pop songs into a religious one.

Tina R. Cooper: I loved this movie, spiritual and uplifting. It got me up and off my (u-know), made a call, going back to church.

OK movie when you want to watch something very light and don't care how predictable it is. Music was the best part of it.

Sexual Content: There is a lot of Sexual Content look up @ Pungged In Review

Violence: Randy and Walter beat up a bully: Walter tags the other teen in the testicles, and Randy punches him in the face, sending a dribble of blood flying. Vi Rose and G.G. get into their own fight at a diner: G.G. pelts Vi with bread rolls, and Vi gets G.G. in a headlock that G.G. says is "breaking my hair." Randy runs into a tree branch.

Coarse Language: s-words but also a half-dozen uses of "a‑‑" and two or three each of "b‑‑ch," "h‑‑‑," "p‑‑‑" and "d‑‑n." Sometimes those words are uttered in church or in front of a pastor for laughs. God's name is misused five or six times too.
