From Library Staff

I adore Paul Galdone's 70s versions of classic folk tales and this one is no exception. Not entirely cleaned up : Two pigs get eaten and the wolf is boiled in a tasty stew before we get to 'happily ever after.'

A tale of ingenuity, trickery, and how the small can outsmart the mighty. Reading the original, which is more gruesome than the version most children are told now, is essential.
