Really great for women with an open mind about the 'make up' a man. I can relate many men to this make up and even talking to them they agree this is what they've been instilled as men. Don't write it off, it has a lot of truth behind it if you can open yourself to accept :-)

My mother had exerts from this book, until I finally got her the whole thing and read some of it. It is the most patronizing sexist piece of malarkey I have ever read. Sorry, that the examples of men and women you have had and have in your life haven't evolved into better human-beings Mr. Harvey, Don't spread your inane nonsense around to impressionable others.

Well, I'll give Steve an "A" for effort...and for being right about 70% of the time with his advice. Get your friends--single and married--in a room with some good food and drink, and you can get hours of entertainment discussing why "It's. Your. Fault." that relationships are so complicated these days. This book is best-processed in a co-ed group with some mature adults in the room. Young people would read the book as gospel--which it is not. And older folk would discount too much of the "reality" Steve shares. One thing's for sure--Harvey is fully confident that his advice will make this world a better place.

An interesting read! I used real life experiences, that I had gone through, and could easily agree that Steve is right on the mark! It's opened my eyes and even tested a few of his theories, and he was right! It's almost always about the cookie ;)

“But remember what drives a man; real men do what they have to do to make sure their people are taken care of, clothed, housed, and reasonably satisfied, and if they're doing anything less than that, they're not men.”

“All I'm telling you to do is to be smart about it. Know that if this man isn't looking for a serious relationship, you're not going to change his mind just because you two are going on dates and being intimate. You could be the most perfect woman on the Lord's green earth-you're capable of interesting conversation, you cook a mean breakfast, you hand out back rubs like sandwiches, you're independent (which means, to him, that you're not going to be in his pockets)-but if he's not ready for a serious relationship, he going to treat you like sports fish.”
