All style and no real substance. He could of done so much with this, but didn't. Not impressed with the pubescent sexual stuff either. I know kids start early with their exploration, but 12 ? And why kill the dog?

This was my first movie by Director Wes Anderson. He takes and all star cast and gives most of them small parts. Yet they all work wonderfully together. Bill Murray as a worried father when his daughter turns up missing is priceless. The script is great and the cast is equally great. A really unique movie that's also very funny.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It's very funny and quirky. But I don't recommend it for a younger audience due to some content. Perhaps Grade 6 and up.

Wes Anderson got it right in this one (so missed it in The Life Aquatic). Great quirky little movie that I will watch again some day.

Very strange movie with a few interesting features and plot devices. If you have time to see a movie, try something else, unless you really like weird.

For the first 10 minutes I was not sure what I was watching. But as the films progressed I was captivated by the style in which the story was told. And it was a pretty unique style too. Teenage love normally does not interest me but this film is one exception. This is a very enjoyable comedy. The feel-good ending is a bonus.

Very quirky. It was odd but I enjoyed it. The acting was very good especially the kids.
