The only thing good about this movie was that it finally ended.

Welcome to The Hunger Games where a selected group of completely innocent children (one of which was only about 10) are literally forced to fight each other right to the very death.

The ruling class is totally thrilled by these games, while the poor families watch the live, televised broadcast in hopes that their child will come out of this horrible ordeal alive.

As the audience we are thoughtlessly thrown into the middle of this confused scenario without any explanation as to just how a human society managed to degrade itself to such a pathetic level as this, which clearly makes the ancient gladiator games look almost innocent by comparison.

All we know is that there was a war and in order to maintain peace The Hunger Games were introduced to serve mainly as intimidation by the arrogant ruling class, but, also, sadly enough, they serve as a form of "American Idol"-type entertainment, as well.

Over-hyped.... Over-long..... Over nothing!

Awesome!!! I had to watch it again because it was so GOOD!!!!

If you liked Killer Klowns from Mars, then you may like this B-grade film. Quite humourous, but don't expect good acting, good story-line on any other good.

I love Hunger Games!!!!!!!!!!

A Horrifyingly HORRIBLE -wannabe-film. Nearly as bad as the ridiculously boring novel.
I would like to criticize the actors, but there weren't any.
I'd like to say the plot was extremely bad, but there wasn't one.
I would also like to chastise the director for their appalling job, but I'm certain there wasn't one.
Additional, I'd like to tell the (so-called) writer to go back to their day-job.

I watched this movie a while ago but I feel like they chose the wrong person for peeta. Or as I like to call him Lover Boy.
>-< the movie was OKAY I enjoyed the books a lot more than any of the movies. It was defiantly a little bit of a let down but I still will watch the mocking Jay part 1. Maybe 3 1/2 stars.

In the Distant Future lies the ruins of North America. What remains of North America is called Panem, home to the Capitol and all it's 12 districts. Dating back to the Dark Days where the Rebels tried to take over, the Capitol "maintains" control over the districts by forcing their districts to choose 1 boy and 1 girl to participate in the Capitol's Annual Hunger Games. The hunger games is a televised arena death match that airs live on TV. There can only be 1 victor in the Hunger Games.
