Beautifully written and deeply moving. It left me still immersed in the story and the lives of these characters and wondering about how the survivors' lives would turn out. The ending moved me to tears -- and that rarely happens.

I enjoyed the connections and the various stories around them. There were many threads and I found them to be woven together well. I was reminded that we are each a story and that time keeps moving forward and other stories happen to replace those that draw to a close.

A few pages and I tossed it back.

The book was a very light, fast read. Wouldn't recommend it.

beautiful, beautiful, BEAUTIFUL. a gently told story with 'unimportant' people of exceptional decency. the pace was perfect. the setting, for me, became almost a favorite character. highly recommend-

A comforting book about a family and friends in a small rural town. I could relate to the character Dad, as I am approaching that age, and having grown up in a small town, I could appreciate the values and simplicity of life. A pleasant read.

What a heart warming book about family and friends coming together at the end of a husband's life in a small town setting.
I will look for other books by this author.
