I didn't realize this was a biography. I thought it was a novel, so be forewarned.

The author is drawn back to his Louisiana hometown when his 40-year-old sister battles cancer and eventually dies. Seeing the outpouring of community support for her, he decides that small-town life has big family benefits and moves back home. A little too religious, in my opinion, but a great story nonetheless.
