This is a fun and heart-warming story, but too much smart-aleck dialogue diminished the pleasure for me.

In this fun, breezy read with a lot of heart, 10 year old Benji is desperate to avoid a helmet to help keep him safe from seizures. Taisy is pushed to be a sports all-star by her Super Bowl-winning dad. Alexander has a photographic memory and a mom that promises one day he'll have a best friend. Enter Parker Elvis Pembroke IV, a bossy 200 lb Newfoundland therapy dog on a mission. Funny with great set-ups and smart about parents and kids. Recommended 8-10 year olds.
