This powerful documentary details the reality of piracy along the Horn of Africa. The filmmakers interviewed pirates, their hostages, and ship owners to understand what is behind the rise of criminal activity on the high seas in the modern world.

I expected it to feel too long, but I found it very much better than I thought it would be ! (Kev's PICkS: At the NYPL there is now a line of almost 500 people waiting to see 'Captain Phillips'. But for 'Stolen Seas' there's no waiting at all ! ,.. and the hijacked ship and its crew in Stolen Seas is seen being held for ransom in real life ! This documentary is not just an entertainment that is... 'based on a true story'.) (4-14-14: 0 ; 4-16: 4 ;4-18: 8)
