Opinion

From Library Staff

Follows four seemingly ordinary women who become the unlikely investigators of a string of grisly murders in post-World War II London.

In 1952, four women who worked at the wartime code-breaking center, Bletchley Park, reunite to track down a serial killer (imdb).

What happened to those brilliant women who did all of that top secret work during WWII?

Top marks for this mini-series! Excellent story and acting by all. The time period was also caught very well. I'm looking forward to series 2. Checking Wikipedia, though, I see that this series was not renewed for a 3rd series.

I learned on the Bletchley Circle Watchers facebook page that ITV has decided not to run season 3. Such a shame as this is such a wonderful series. There's a petition circulating but i doubt it will help. The facebook page gives info on who to contact at ITV.

A most enjoyable series.
These women were as good at solving crimes as they had been at cracking Hitler's codes.
