Given that so much of the JFK administration's plans and projects were completely flipped after his assassination, Sabato's premise of future influence is rather suspect? Yes, "affirmative action" did indeed originate from President Kennedy, and many, many, many technological achievements - often incrementally - accrued from the NASA/Moon Project, and the Internet, contrary to trivialized history ascribing it to DARPA, did originate from the Kennedy administration's instigation, but much of the progressively radical programs set in place were completely altered or incredibly compromised after his tragic murder. Of course, we shouldn't expect much from a conservative like Sabato.
