From Library Staff

Lieutenant Lucas Davenport is determined to track down a diabolically clever serial killer who leads a double life, carefully picks out his female victims, and taunts the police with notes signed "Maddog."

The haunting, unforgettable, ice-blooded thriller that introduced Lucas Davenport is so chilling that you're almost afraid to turn the pages and so mesmerizing you cannot stop. .

I am working through Sandford's books but I didn't realize this was the first one of the Davenport series until well into it. Nice introduction to the great character

What an excellent beginning to a five star career. This is the one that compells you to keep reading, and reading, and reading...and never wanting them to end. Fabulous!
